The Autonomous Level 2 MG Astor is powered by a centralized radar and a multi-purpose camera capable of detecting a range of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Departure Prevention, Intelligent Headlamp Control (IHC), Rear Drive Assist (RDA) and Speed Assist System among in others. These services can improve driving safety and comfort, and have also improved India's traffic conditions, MG Motor confirmed.

Astor discovers a brand new Bold Celestial Grille powered by cosmic lines and forms that incorporate flexibility in the front of the car. The radial pattern focuses on a large part of the entire front surface. The tungsten steel electroplated material creates a unique look like the sun. The name Astor is derived from Raytheon Sentinel, an air force and ground aircraft used by the Royal Air Force (RAF), in the UK.
